Get in touch to arrange your free 15 minute consultation now
Seeking a counsellor is rarely easy, sometimes overwhelming, and your search may create further questions and fears. Appreciating that confidentiality and support is required is a priority.
Through an initial 15-minute telephone consultation free-of-charge, we can talk through what you need, what your expectations are and whether or not we both feel that we are a ‘match’. There will be no obligation after that call, and you would never be expected to continue sessions that you didn’t feel were working for you.
We will work together, though your experiences, self-awareness and discovery, whilst identifying ways that you can move forward, establishing tools to manage what is going on for you and to reach resolutions.
I am a qualified and fully insured private practise counsellor and have worked with clients through many life challenges. I work predominantly in the person-centered approach, where the client is placed at the centre of the relationship and treated as a person first. The focus is on supporting that person and what they can do, not their condition or disability.
I am also a nationally trained negotiator, where I work on a call-out rota, dealing with people in a state of crisis, who may be traumatised, suicidal, or engaging in dangerous, sometimes criminal behaviour.
With a good knowledge and keen interest in trauma, I am continuing my development by enrolling on a Diploma in Trauma Therapy, where I will be able to offer further specialised skills in dealing with all levels of trauma, including PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), self-harm, panic attacks, pain management and familial abuse.
I am wholly aware of the curve balls that are thrown at us in our private and professional lives and I will always work to accommodate regular sessions to help to maintain the trust and reliability in what will be an important relationship, to both my client and myself.
I can offer face-to-face sessions at The Cherry Tree Therapy Centre in Buckhurst Hill or could reach you anywhere via Zoom or telephone sessions, to suit your needs.
I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and I abide by the BACP Ethical Framework.

"Helping one person might not change the whole world, but it could change the world for one person"
When I was facing some uncertainty, I decided to go for counselling to help me sort through my thoughts. I was a bit worried as the last counsellor I'd seen was very formal and I didn't feel comfortable speaking to them. Thankfully, I was paired with Holly and I ended up seeing her regularly for a year. She was so easy to talk to, I felt like I could tell her anything and without fear of judgement. Holly's counselling was invaluable. She helped me work through a lot of things, both past and present, when I didn't feel like I had anyone else I could talk to. I feel very grateful to have had her as my counsellor.
